Le Casale is situated on a dramatic hilltop, overlooking the rolling hills of the Val d'Orcia near Contignano, the setting for the movie “The English Patient”

This luxury Tuscan villa rental has a huge exterior stone staircase leading to the second floor. The second floor may also be reached by an internal staircase. Two stone-paved patios flank the external staircase. One is the outdoor dining area and has a large built-in barbecue and antique stone sink. Beyond there is an infinity heated lap pool (4 meters wide and 20 meters long ). Positioned to the side of the front lawn on a lower level there is a hot tub for six, fitness room and a large vegetable garden.

The living room measures 50 square meters and contains a handsome fireplace. There are French-doors leading to the patio/dining and garden areas. The adjacent dining room has the capacity to seat 16.

The large state-of-the-art kitchen built in gray local stone (pietra serena) seats 8, has a huge hearth, two five-burner stoves, two large ovens, and a large double door refrigerator with an icemaker.

The house has been very carefully decorated by the owner, a prominent furniture designer and producer renowned for her trendy shop in Rome.

First floor
Bedroom 1: double, ensuite bathroom with walk in shower, veranda connecting to the rest of the house, guest's coatroom with W.C. and sink.
Bedroom 2: twin with separate entrance from the patio. Ensuite bathroom, tub with wall mounted shower. Staircase from lobby/veranda to first floor veranda allows access to six bedrooms.

Second floor
Bedroom 3: double master bedroom. Very large room (45 sq meters), with study area, hearth and sitting area, views on three sides, ensuite bathrooms (large stone tub with wall mounted shower, stone sink, second stone sink, separate W.C., large walk in closet.
Bedroom 4: Sleeps up to five: one at floor level and four in a loft (internal staircase) with two single and a double. Suitable for kids (has satellite TV, VHS, DVD, and stereo) or parents with children. Ensuite bathroom with walk in shower.
Bedroom 5: double with ensuite bathroom, double sink, tub and wall mounted shower.
Bedroom 6: double with ensuite bathroom, tub and wall mounted shower.
Bedroom 7: twin with ensuite bathroom, tub and wall mounted shower.
Bedroom 8: double below the master suite. Views on three sides. Bath tub and wall mounted shower plus sink, separate WC and sink.

Note:
The house can comfortably sleep 8 couples plus 3 children. More infants can sleep in any bedroom by adding cots and cradles (each room is large enough to accommodate additional beds). Most bathrooms have stone sinks designed by the owners. The owner has her own home furnishings boutique in Rome and draws most of her inventory from Italian artisans who create pieces based on her original designs

Arrivals and Departure: Arrivals and departures on Saturday Arrival: from 4 pm to 6 pm/Departure between 9 am--10 am.

Security deposit
$2500.00 US dollars to be made out to Italian Town and Country LLC. The deposit will be returned 15 days after departure providing no damages have occured.
