Casa degli Elce is a comfortable family style home that lies below the hill of Cortona. Surrounded by expansive lawns, olive and Cyprus trees, this historic building dates to the 13th century.

Elce was once an old watchtower, which later became a monastery and today has been restored and transformed into a comfortable Tuscan holiday rental. The property is set in a sunny position with western exposure that offers lovely views over the Chiana valley.

The grounds consist of the ancient tower and guesthouse. The house is located within easy reach of Cortona that throughout the year hosts numerous festivals as well as excellent trattorias, and fine shopping.

First Floor

The first floor consists of a large living room with a fireplace; large queen bedroom with doors that lead to the garden and a bathroom. chairs

Second Floor

The second floor has a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining room with an antique table that seats 10 people as well as another fireplace, a double bedroom with wood floor and built-in wardrobe and an ensuite bathroom with a shower

Third Floor

The third floor has a sitting area with large windows where you can enjoy the view, a spacious bedroom with half bath with a wrought iron double bed, a small 18th century table, armchairs and wood floors. This bedroom also has a wood staircase (very steep) that leads up to the top floor where there are 2 single beds and an en suite bathroom with shower, ideal for children and teenagers

Annex

The stone annex consists of a twin bedded room and bathroom with shower
