Frantoio is located below the historic town of Cortona. This ancient building was originally an olive oil mill and has been converted into a comfortable holiday home. The rental is comprised of main building (Frantoio) and annex, sleeping a total of 15-17 guests.

The owner has created a very unique atmosphere preserving many of the original buildings features of this ancient mill, beautiful chestnut beams, brick arches and the holding tanks for the oil; they have been left exposed and covered by architectural safety glass, the interiors are furnished in a simple Tuscan style and are very family friendly.

Surrounding the house are olive trees, roses, herbs and wonderful views up toward Cortona. The pool is located in a grassy area next to the house and is a nice spot to relax. The location ofFrantoio is an excellent choice for those that would like enjoy the countryside but have easy access to town. Cortona offers wonderful restaurants, shopping, theatre and the world class Etruscan museum, its central location makes it an excellent base for exploring the many famous areas of Tuscany and Umbria.
