Casa Margherita is a 17th century Tuscan villa rental that is within walking distance to the historic hill town of Cortona. The location of this property is ideal for those guests that would like to be able to walk to town, (you can reach Cortona on foot in less than a kilometer) yet still have wonderful views over the Tuscan countryside. The home is furnished in a comfortable style and is family friendly, with many antiques, original cotto floors and chestnut beams. The rental consists of two units; the larger house consists of three plus one bedroom and the smaller (annex) has two bedrooms. The annex although connected is accessed through a separate entrance. The garden area is comprised of a series of terraces; the area directly in front of the house is grassed and is planted with roses, geraniums, jasmine, oleander and herbs. A set of stone stairs takes you to the lower terrace where you will find the new swimming pool. Olive trees, cypress, and oak surround the terrace. Cortona, with its fantastic restaurants, shopping and numerous cultural events throughout the year is a fantastic location to spend your Tuscan holiday. The caretaker lives behind the main Villa with access via seperate entrance.
