The gardens surrounding the house are very well maintained and filled with an abundance flowers, roses, lavender and typical Tuscan plantings.
Francesca is an excellent choice for enjoying the tranquility of the country side but within easy reach of shopping and dining. Two of Tuscany‘s most beautiful villages Pienza and Montepulciano can be easily reached in 10-15 minutes. The charming owners have renovated the house creating a warm atmosphere filled with comfortable furniture and antiques while still retaining its rustic charm.
Francesca comfortably accommodates up to 13 guests in 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Outdoors you will find a beautiful spacious stone loggia with amazing views over the valley, furnished with dining table, pizza oven and barbeque. The private pool is set in a panoramic position behind the house and is surrounded by olive trees, fruit trees and flowers, and is furnished with lounge chairs and dining area.
The region the Val d’Orcia contains some of the most impressive paintings, architecture and sculpture from the height of the Renaissance. In the hilltop town of Pienza, one of the gems of the Val d’Orcia, you will find fine examples of Renaissance architecture and urban design, as well as some of the most delicious pecorino cheese to be found in the region. Less well known than the Sienese version is the Pienza Palio, in September, which involves rolling wheels of cheese rolling into the centre of the town.
